- The song was originally written by Lunalilo King Lunalilo of Hawaii after he failed to successfully court his beloved, the Princess Victoria Kamāmalu. The song's focus and namesake is a small body of water near the Nuʻuanu Valley.
- The usage of this track has slowed down since season 7. It has not played since Season 12.
