Location

Encino is the neighborhood in which Patchy the Pirate, Potty the Parrot, and Mrs. Johnson live in, as their hometown. It is in a suburban area of the city of Los Angeles. If they exist, the old man, woman, and her baby from the song "Back in Encino" also live there. Most of the Patchy segments in the specials take place here.

Encino is located in the Greater Los Angeles Area, the same metropolitan area as Nickelodeon Animation Studio which is in Burbank, California.
Encino is the name of three places: a district in Los Angeles, California, a census-designated place in Texas, and a village in New Mexico. Unlike other places in SpongeBob SquarePants except for Texas, this place is not fictional and exists in real life.
It gets shrunken in "Atlantis SquarePantis."
