"Crossing the Street" is a SpongeBob SquarePants Best Day Ever short. In this short, SpongeBob attempts to help an old lady cross the street

Synopsis

SpongeBob tries to help Miss. Shell cross the street, but little did he know, she wanted to take the bus. After SpongeBob is notified, he runs after the bus, but trips and Miss. Shell goes flying. She ends up using her umbrella to swing on a street light and flies into the bus, and then thanks SpongeBob. He gets run over by a boat mobile in the middle of replying, "You're welcome!"

  • On The Pilot a Mini-Movie and the Square Shorts DVD, the short is titled "Crossing the Road."
  • This short premiered six years after "Your Shoe's Untied" and "Squid's Day Off" premiered and two years after Sponge For Hire was released on DVD and VHS.
  • On this day in 1966, the Cuban Adjustment Act comes into force, allowing 123,000 Cubans opportunity to apply for permanent residence in the US
