Trivia
General
- The artwork of SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs used on the front cover is also used on the second cover of Another Day, Another Sand Dollar.
- The back cover of this DVD contains pictures from these episodes:
- Advertisements in this DVD case are advertisements for other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes (also known as "videos") for All Grown Up! (VHS and DVD), The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius: Jet Fusion (VHS and DVD), SpongeBob SquarePants: Sea Stories (VHS and DVD), Tide and Seek (DVD only), and The Seascape Capers (VHS and DVD). On the other side is another ad for other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes for SpongeBob SquarePants: SpongeBob Goes Prehistoric (VHS and DVD), SpongeGuard on Duty (VHS and DVD), Lost at Sea (DVD only), The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius: Sea of Trouble (VHS and DVD), and SpongeBob SquarePants: Tales from the Deep (DVD only).
- This DVD includes previews for various shows and other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes. These include The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, All Grown Up!: Lucky 13 DVD and VHS tape, The Complete 2nd Season DVD box set, Duel Masters DVDs and VHS tapes, Transformers: Energon DVDs and VHS tapes, and Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams video game trailer.
- The previews from this DVD are the same exact previews as the SpongeBob SquarePants: Home Sweet Pineapple 2005 DVD.
- "New Student Starfish" and "The Camping Episode" are the only episodes that do not correlate with Mr. Krabs or the Krusty Krab.
- This DVD features the credits right after the episode "Krusty Krab Training Video" with the original "Quest for the Best 1" music track left intact.
- There is a VHS version that was released on the same day as the DVD.
- "New Student Starfish," "Mid-Life Crustacean," and "The Camping Episode" are not part of the VHS version.
- This is the first SpongeBob SquarePants DVD for several things:
- The first SpongeBob DVD to have Mr. Krabs on the cover.
- The first SpongeBob DVD to have the 2001 DVD Video logo on the disc and back cover.
- The first single-disc SpongeBob DVD to not contain an episode from season 1.
- The first SpongeBob DVD to not have the Paramount DVD logo opening with a menu option since SpongeGuard on Duty.
- The first single-disc SpongeBob DVD to only contain episodes from 1 season, which in this case is season 3.
- The first Krusty Krab-themed DVD.
- This is the second single-disc SpongeBob DVD not to contain an episode from season 2. The first is Tales from the Deep.
- This was the last DVD to be released before The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie was released in theaters.
- This DVD has been re-released in both the UK and Australia.
- This DVD was released in France on the same day the French feed of Nickelodeon launched.
- This DVD from Germany has the Portuguese language option.
Errors
- Mr. Krabs has black eyelashes on the front cover instead of brown.
- On the back cover of the Belgium version of this DVD, it says Hologram instead of the real Paramount hologram. The same issue happens on the Dutch DVD version of Dora the Explorer: Undercover Dora. This only happens on the later 2010 reprints of the Belgium Sponge for Hire and Dora the Explorer: Undercover Dora.
- The SpongeBob SquarePants theme song is shown after the closing credits of "Krusty Krab Training Video" since the episode starts with the opening credits.
- On the closing credits of this DVD, "Krabby Land" is misspelled as "Krabbyland."
- In the episode selection, the image for "Can You Spare a Dime?" is not from that episode. The image is actually from "As Seen on TV," which is not on this DVD.
