The Elastic Waistband is a superhero who first appears in the episode "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V" as Template:Data:Links, and later appears as himself in "The Bad Guy Club for Villains." He is part of The International Justice League of Super Acquaintances (IJLSA).
Patrick is briefly given this role. He has the ability to become very flexible. His costume is a green suit with blue and red goggles.

On Template:Data:Links's lunchbox, he is shown wearing a green costume, blue goggles with red holes, and he has yellow hair.
"The Bad Guy Club for Villains"
He does not wear a mask. He wears a white headband, has yellow hair, and wears a purple suit.
Powers
- Flexibility: He can bend, twist and stretch into different shapes, forms and sizes.
- Inflatable gut: He reflects attacking projectiles.
Weaknesses
- If he gets stretched out too much, he is temporarily unable to revert to normal.

SpongeBob, Patrick, Template:Data:Links, Template:Data:Links, and Mermaid Man roleplay as the IJLSA to get back at Barnacle Boy joining the dark side. Patrick roleplays as the Elastic Waistband.
"The Bad Guy Club for Villains"
He appears in the episode of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy that SpongeBob and Patrick were watching. He helps Mermaid Man and the rest of the gang to take down a group of villains.

- The Elastic Waistband is a parody of Mister Fantastic from Marvel Comics and Plastic Man and Elongated Man from DC Comics.
- In the Nicktoons crossover video game Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots, Patrick mentions being the Elastic Waistband when the player plays as him.
- In "The Bad Guy Club for Villains," the Elastic Waistband cannot stretch but can only inflate his waist, allowing him to reflect things that come into contact with him.
- Along with Miss Appear, he only has one speaking line in "The Bad Guy Club for Villains"
- An elastic waistband in real life is a stretchable device sewn into clothes in place of a belt; his name references his ability to stretch much like the device itself.
- A plush toy of the Patrick version of Elastic Waistband is seen in the toy store in "Friendiversary."
- A similar character named Rubber Bandy appears in the episode "Super Sitters." It can be presumed she is a reimagined version of the Elastic Waistband, as both of them share the ability to become flexible.
