Synopsis

SpongeBob and Patrick look at a good book about pirates, but can they look like good pirates?

Plot

The book opens with SpongeBob and Patrick reading about pirates. They get the idea to wear pirate hats. When they put their hats on and look at their reflections in SpongeBob's mirror, they think they look unrecognizable. They decide to test this by seeing if Squidward recognizes them.

SpongeBob and Patrick walk over to Squidward's house and act like pirates. To their disappointment, he recognizes them without even looking up from the book he is reading. SpongeBob realizes that they need to wear full pirate costumes if they are going to fool Squidward.

SpongeBob and Patrick reappear with pirate outfits, but Squidward still knows it is them. They decide to take drastic measures by building an entire pirate ship and steering it in front of Squidward's house. Tired of their game, Squidward pretends to be afraid of the "real" pirates and runs into his house. SpongeBob and Patrick are proud.
