The Krusty Krab grill is a grill located in the Krusty Krab kitchen that is used to cook Krabby Patty meat. It first appears in the episode "Help Wanted."

Description

It is located behind the order window, and is in between a stool and the deep fryer. It is gray in color and has a grayish dark-blue stove. Below it, there are several switches used to control the temperature of the grill (in Fahrenheit).

According to Mr. Krabs, the model is a Grill King 3000 as mentioned in the episode, The Grill is Gone.

Role in series

The grill is used by the restaurant's fry cook, SpongeBob. Due to his obsessive attachment to his job, he finds it hard to adapt to different devices for cooking Krabby Patties or any other restaurants' grills, as seen in "Welcome to the Chum Bucket."

Instances of removal/replacement

The Krusty Krab grill has often been taken out of the kitchen when non-Krabby Patty items are introduced to the menu and Krabby Patties themselves are discontinued entirely.

Trivia

  • The heat of this grill has harmed the employees on several occasions.
    • In "Nature Pants," the grill sets the kitchen on fire due to SpongeBob being lost in his fantasies of living among the jellyfish. A fire fish then comes and puts out the fire.
    • In "Big Pink Loser," to see if he is copying him, SpongeBob puts a fake hand that looks like his on the grill while Patrick does the same to his actual hand, causing the latter to burn his hand from prolonged exposure to the grill.
    • In "Graveyard Shift," during the montage of SpongeBob praising the Krusty Krab's 24/7 hours of operation, he burns his hand from the grill.
    • In "Just One Bite," Squidward burns his face on the grill after a failed attempt to eat a special Krabby Patty that SpongeBob made.

In "Restraining SpongeBob," Squidward horribly burns his right arm after placing the elbow on the grill while talking to SpongeBob.
    • In "Eek, an Urchin!," Squidward, SpongeBob, and Mr. Krabs jump on the grill to avoid the urchin. Mr. Krabs then notices a burning smell and realizes that the grill is still on, to which they scream and jump off to the bathroom stall to cool off their feet.
  • The grill is sometimes relocated from its normal position under the window and is seen across from the window.
