The Krusty Krab thermostat is a thermostat located in the Krusty Krab. It is first indirectly referenced in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and first appears in the episode "Krabs à la Mode."
Description
"Krabs à la Mode"
Located in the Krusty Krab dining area, it is a light brown or light yellow box with a black-and-gray or black scroll button that adjusts the dining area's, kitchen's, and restroom's temperature between various degrees Fahrenheit ranging from −35 °F to 189 °F, usually being set to 62 °F.
"Planet of the Jellyfish"
Located in the Krusty Krab freezer, it is a light blue box with a gray scroll button that adjusts the freezer's temperature between cold and hot, usually being set to cold.
"Eek, an Urchin!"
Located in the Krusty Krab dining area, it is a light brown box with the text "KITCHEN TEMP." and a black-and-white scroll button that adjusts the kitchen's temperature between various degrees Fahrenheit ranging from −100 °F to 70 °F, usually being set to 70 °F.
"Senior Discount"
Located in the Krusty Krab kitchen, it is a gray dial that adjusts the dining area's temperature between cold, chilly, warm, hot, blistering, and nuclear, usually being set to blistering.

"The Endless Summer"
It is indirectly referenced when Mr. Krabs asks who turned up the heat.
"Krabs à la Mode"
It is the main focus of this episode. On a cold day at the Krusty Krab, Squidward tries to increase the temperature on the thermostat, but Mr. Krabs yells at him and tells him that no one can touch the thermostat except for himself.
Later, Plankton uses the thermostat to freeze the Krusty Krab.
At the end of the episode, Plankton reveals to Mr. Krabs of his actions and uses the thermostat to freeze and unfreeze Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob, and all of the other Krusty Krab patrons until he accidentally falls off the thermostat and is trapped by Mr. Krabs. Mr. Krabs then uses the thermostat to melt all of the ice and transforms the Krusty Krab into a swimming pool.
"The Krusty Sponge"
It is indirectly referenced when Squidward says that Gene Scallop is letting out the AC.
"Planet of the Jellyfish"
It is seen in the Krusty Krab freezer. SpongeBob and Sandy increase the temperature so that the mayonnaise unfreezes. They then use the mayonnaise to destroy the Jelliens.
"Eek, an Urchin!"
It is used to freeze the Krusty Krab kitchen, so that the sea urchins can be trapped inside a garbage can.
"Call the Cops"
It is indirectly referenced when Mr. Krabs says that the Krusty Krab has air conditioning.
