Harold interrupting to insult Patrick over his unfunny jokes.

Squidina presents the opening of The Patrick Show!, introducing Patrick as he prepares for his comedy routine. Patrick presents a few jokes, but they fail to amuse the audience, except for Slappy. Harold interrupts to insult Patrick over his unfunny jokes, making the audience laugh. Slappy buries Harold for insulting Patrick, as Squidina, noticing the audience's attention, gets the idea for their next focus of comedy.

The next episode of the show features "The Roast of Patrick Star," a segment dedicated to jokes at Patrick's expense. Squidina introduces a few guests onto the show, starting with Captain Quasar and Pat-Tron. Captain Quasar makes a joke referring to Jupiter as a gas giant, with Patrick as second. Bunny is brought onto the show next, as she shows a slideshow of family photos. Patrick's underwear then emerges out of him to talk about his experiences of Patrick wearing it.

GrandPat arrives on the show.

GrandPat arrives onto the show next, but ends up swearing in front of the audience. Squidina takes him away as SpongeBob is brought on stage. SpongeBob makes a few jokes about Patrick, but his gentle humor does not enlighten the audience. SpongeBob rips his pants off in frustration, which makes the audience laugh. Squidina is about to close the show, but Patrick says that he should roast himself. He starts making fun jokes about himself, but soon starts actually fighting himself, which enthuses the audience.

Squidina takes the opportunity to stage a self-fight for Patrick. Patrick fights himself on stage as Squidina commentates. Patrick is about to stab himself with a sword, but is interrupted by Harold insulting him again. Patrick resolves the fight against himself, with the audience at first appreciating the wholesome moment, but getting disturbed when Patrick kisses himself. Squidina drags Slappy away to leave the two Patricks alone, as Harold digs himself back into his hole.

Deleted scenes

Mike Pelensky's storyboards feature many scenes that were cut, likely for time.

  • Patrick takes out a horn, rubber chicken, and chattering teeth before noticing the arrow in his head.
  • Patrick tells another joke: "So word on the street is, the Flying Dutchman's been dating. Or he's been trying to... he keeps getting GHOSTED!" and takes out a ghost puppet while making ghostly noises. The Flim-Flam Brothers are unamused. One boos, scaring an audience member, and the other brother explains that it means Patrick stinks.
  • After being heckled, Patrick says, "But hey, folks, enough about me. Is anyone here from out of town?" Harold yells, "I wish I was out of town! Anywhere but here!"
  • Slappy's line "Mess with my Patrick, will you?" had an alternate line suggested: "I wish you were out of town, too..."
  • After Slappy gets offended, Harold says, "If laughter is the best medicine, we're all gonna be sick!"
  • After Harold gets buried, an audience member says, "Aw, but he was funny..."
  • Instead of saying "Well, I hope they take an IOU," Patrick says, "Well, I didn't bring my wallet. I'll pay the guests back later!"
  • Pat-Tron prints out a joke, which is a line of binary. Quasar says it is not a joke, and Pat-Tron says, "He gets it!" while pointing to the audience. A live-action Macintosh computer is shown, laughing in a deep monotone voice.
  • To end their routine, Quasar suggests a dummy routine, which Pat-Tron does himself while using Quasar as the dummy. He asks Quasar to "magically sing opera" while he drinks water. Quasar tries to warn him, but Pat-Tron pours the water on himself, getting electrocuted and falling to the floor. Quasar nervously calls off the routine and asks Pat-Tron to beam them away, but he does not respond. Quasar pauses and asks for someone to call a cab.
  • After hearing that the audience wants her to make mean jokes about Patrick, Bunny says the audience should be ashamed of themselves, making them react in shame.
  • Bunny shows a picture of the time Patrick stood up on a roller coaster at Glove World!: "He was so excited he couldn't sit down!" A picture shows a younger Patrick with the top half of his head bent backwards as Squidina, Bunny, and Cecil look on in horror.
  • Patrick "figuring out how underwear works" was originally him "getting lost in his own underwear."
  • When Patrick's underwear appears, Frank asks "Is... that Patrick's underwear?" Slappy enters and says, "It certainly is! I would know."
  • Patrick's underwear says he had not been changed in years, instead of three weeks like in the final.
  • Patrick's underwear says, "Jeez, Patrick... Don't you worry about this roast staining your reputation? I know what a stain looks like! It ain't pretty!"
  • When Slappy says, "This guy's good!", his own underwear appears, agrees with him, and they laugh.
  • Patrick's underwear hops in a hamper and shuts it when GrandPat chases him away.
  • Instead of saying, "I hope you brought eyeball diapers, 'cause these jokes are gonna make you wet your face!", GrandPat says, "I've been waitin' to tell ya what's really been on my mind," with a dramatic close-up of his face. Squidina gets worried.
  • GrandPat says, "But I like to think of him as a...", instead of "Or as I call him, my..."
  • Patrick isn't offended by GrandPat's swearing, saying, "Why's everybody so upset? He's just speaking in dolphin..."
