"SpongeBob's Spookiest Scenes Countdown Special" is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode, produced as a stand-alone special for season 12. In this episode, a power outage won't stop Patchy the Pirate from counting down some of the spookiest SpongeBob scenes ever. Will he be able to get power back when he counts down?

Trivia
- This is the fourth special to be a clip show.
- Despite the fact that this is a Halloween-themed special, not every Halloween episode is included. "Séance Shméance" is not included.
- Scenes from 18 different episodes from various seasons are used.
- Ghoul Fools and The Night Patty were the only episodes to have two scenes used in the special.
- In this special, a clip from "House Worming" was shown in a cropped 4:3 aspect ratio, despite the episode being originally produced in 16:9 HDTV/widescreen.
- All of Potty's lines are archival recordings reused from previous episodes.
- Every time the outside of Patchy the Pirate's house is shown in this special, it is a night time shot taken straight from the ending of "The Sponge Who Could Fly." The only differences are that it is cropped to widescreen and does not have a SpongeBob constellation above Patchy's house.
- To date, this is the last episode where Patchy the Pirate and Potty the Parrot appear in live-action until "A Very Patchy Holiday Livestream."
- This is the first stand-alone Halloween special.
- Tom Kenny's son, Mack Kenny, was a director of photography and set dresser for the special.[2]
