Location

The Art Museum is a museum with art exhibits in Bikini Bottom. It appears in the episodes "The Masterpiece" and "Squidward's School for Grown-Ups." The only employees known to be employed there are two security guards.

About

Description

Exterior

It is mainly made of marble and only has one wooden door surrounded by columns to the top and the sides of it. Also, it has a short amount of stairs (only 3) unlike most museums. Its exterior structure looks similar to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, New York, except it is much smaller.

Interior

It has many paintings and sculptures done by many famous fish. The wall is simple but the floor is shiny, as Patrick described that it "compliments" the artwork. The ceiling of the Art Museum also appears to be tiled.

Role in series

"The Masterpiece"

SpongeBob takes a large portion from one of its pillars for Squidward's statue material, which causes the building to collapse.

"Squidward's School for Grown-Ups"

Squidward visits this museum with his new best friend, Patrick. SpongeBob comes along without Squidward and Patrick knowing, because he wants to win Patrick back as his best friend.

"UpWard"

Lady Upturn tours here with Regigilled to look for new art exhibits for her mansion. An art appraiser shows her various pieces of art, including paintings by Patrick and a dance performance by some anchovies, but she does not like any of them.
