Betsy Krabs
Betsy "Mama"Template:Data:References Krabs[1] (possibly née Quaterkrab) is the wife of Victor Krabs, the mother of Eugene H. Krabs, and the paternal grandmother of Pearl Krabs and a maternal grandmother of her son's nephews. The episodes that feature her have shown her to be very strict and no-nonsense. She is voiced by Paul Tibbitt in her first two appearances and by Sirena Irwin in all her other appearances.
Description
In the same manner, by which all octopodes on the show are modeled after Template:Data:Links, Mama Krabs is very similar to her son in terms of appearance. She has wrinkly light red skin, wears a purple dress (she sported a blue one in "Mid-Life Crustacean") and large blue glasses, and has a small patch of fluffy white hair.
In "Sailor Mouth," she has a slightly male voice.
In "Enemy In-Law," Mrs. Krabs is also known not to be greedy, like her son, for when Mr. Krabs greets her, he usually asks her how much money she wants.
Biography
Betsy Krabs was born to unknown parents, one of which might have been Mr. Krabs' grandma. She possibly had a brother named Alan.
At some point, she married Victor Krabs.
The two had two children, Eugene Harold Krabs, who was born on November 30, 1942, and an unnamed daughter, born either before or after Eugene's birth.
At some point, her father-in-law took custody of her son while he was infant. Though by the events of "Friend or Foe", Eugene is seen living with her again. Victor was not seen and presumably divorced Betsy between 1947, since he appears alive in “Senior Discount”. It can be guessed that he took their daughter with him if she was not an adult by that point.

Trivia
- In "Stanley S. SquarePants," in a scene, three nephews of Mr. Krabs are shown, who are a parody of Disney's Huey, Dewey, and Louie. This would imply that Betsy Krabs has another son or daughter.
- In the episode "Grandpappy the Pirate," Grandpa Redbeard says Eugene is his only grandson, implying that Betsy's other child may be a girl.
- In "Enemy In-Law," Template:Data:Links falls in love with her due to her grandmotherly appearance.
- Mama Krabs has a laugh strikingly similar to Popeye the Sailor Man.
- In the episodes "Sailor Mouth" and "Mid-Life Crustacean" Betsy's voice sounds like an old woman version of Mr. Krabs (while played by Tibbitt), while in the episode "Enemy In-Law," "Spongicus," Friend or Foe," etc. she has a younger Scottish voice (while portrayed by Irwin).
- It is shown in the episode "Enemy In-Law" she has large muscles after she learns that Plankton tricked her to get the Krabby Patty secret formula.
- She has a different appearance in the book Mother Knows Best. She wears a pink dress, lipstick, and no glasses, and looks about the same age as her son.
- She wants to see Template:Data:Links and Template:Data:Links get mauled by the lionfish in "Spongicus." She even states that she "wants to see some body parts!" This shows she likes violence.
- In "Enemy In-Law," at the end, she falls in love with Plankton's giant robot, but it is unknown if they got in a relationship.
- In the Croatian dub, her name is never revealed.
- She has not yet been seen interacting with her granddaughter, Pearl.
- However, in "Lame and Fortune," they are seen together on-screen but don't interact.
- Also, she hasn't been seen interacting with her grandsons or her father-in-law, though they were all seen together in "Lame and Fortune" as well but no interaction was made.
- Unlike her son, granddaughter, and father-in-law, she doesn't seem to have much desire for money, rather innocently asking her son only to be turned down.
