Dirty Dan is a criminal in Template:Data:Links's dream in the episode "Survival of the Idiots." Later, both his and his partner's gravestones are seen in the episode "Shopping List." His name is later seen again in the episodes "The Nitwitting" and "Handemonium" and The Patrick Star Show episode "I Smell a Pat."
Description
It is unknown what he looks like, but judging by how SpongeBob portrays him, Dirty Dan possibly wears a big beige cowboy hat with a dark brown band.

"Survival of the Idiots"
Sandy references him in a dream during hibernation as a Texas outlaw, before Template:Data:Links and Template:Data:Links create a game where they would fight over the titles of Pinhead Larry and Dirty Dan. SpongeBob pretends to be him at first, but Patrick insists on playing Dirty Dan because "[he's] dirty." When a sleepwalking Sandy heard SpongeBob and Patrick arguing, she asked which one was the real Dirty Dan, Patrick stated he was Dirty Dan and earned a beating from Sandy. She then proceeded to confuse SpongeBob for Pinhead Larry. After getting beat up by Sandy, Patrick decides that he no longer wants to be Dirty Dan and says SpongeBob can be him.

Both his and his partner's gravestones are seen in this episode, confirming that he and Pinhead Larry were real people from Sandy's past before their deaths.

Graffiti reading "I'm Dirty Dan" can be seen in the alley alongside other references to older episodes.

He is mentioned on some graffiti found on the side of Larry's Gym, reading "Dirty Dan wuz here."
