Synopsis
One day at the Krusty Krab, SpongeBob overhears Mr. Krabs arguing with someone in his office. He checks and sees Mr. Krabs with a pirate crewmate of his who claims he is too obsessed with money and has lost his spirit of adventure, offending Krabs. Krabs declares that he will go on a sailing adventure to prove him wrong, and convinces SpongeBob to stay back alone at the Krusty Krab.
Krabs and the pirate go sailing, running into a whirlpool, a kraken, and a volcano. Krabs ends up injured, although he still enjoys the adventure. The ship gets damaged, and Krabs claims the costs do not matter as long as they have an adventure, and he will pay for all damages to the ship. He then sees a golden glimmer in a cave and wants to go after it, concerning the pirate, although Krabs thinks it is fine because it is sailing, money, and adventure together.
The shine is revealed to be an anglerfish, who calls out for his much larger father after Krabs mocks him. Krabs and the pirate are beaten up and return to the Krusty Krab. Krabs claims he proved he is a real sailor, and the pirate reminds him that he ruined the ship and promised to cover the repairs. In the end, Krabs is forced to tear down the Krusty Krab so the wood can be used to build a new pirate ship, as the customers are left to eat outside.
