Invisible Spray
| “ | Well, there is one prank that I've been saving for a real top of the line prankster: Invisible Spray! | ” |
— Frank, "Pranks a Lot"
|
Invisible Spray is a type of spray that makes anything it is sprayed on become invisible. SpongeBob and Patrick buy it from Frank at the Palace of Pranks in the episode "Pranks a Lot." It also reappeared in the online game The Great Nickelodeon Escape.
Description
The Invisible Spray comes in a blue bottle that has the product's name written in red text within a yellow explosion banner on the can. There is also a warning label with a red background at the bottom. It was a danger label on it probably saying that it can stain clothes.
Role in episode
SpongeBob and Patrick use the Invisible Spray to prank the people of Bikini Bottom by making themselves invisible and pretending to be ghosts after SpongeBob mentions that they can do so. Before that, they planned to spray the park bench and make people think they are floating.
Towards the end of the episode, Mr. Krabs throws water at the duo to reveal the identities of the people threatening to burn his money, after which they are revealed to be naked due to the spray staining clothes. Once SpongeBob and Patrick walk out of the bathroom, Mr. Krabs shines a spotlight on them and the audience humiliates them for being nude in public. This makes the two regret buying the spray and agree that they should have bought the whoopie cushion instead.
Trivia
- When Frank holds the Invisible Spray bottle, the bottom of the bottle has a danger label on it. However, in every other shot of the spray, the label is missing.
