Maria Elizabeth Sheldon Bamford is an American character actress, stand up comedian, and impressionist who appears in the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Sandy's Nutty Nieces" as Macadamia, Hazelnut, and Pistachio.

Biography

Bamford was born in California and raised in Duluth, Minnesota and dealt with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Her first stand-up gig was in Minneapolis, Minnesota in her late teens.

Earlier in her career, Bamford was known as the voice of Shriek DuBios in Nickelodeon's 1990's animated series CatDog, then Back at the Barnyard as Mrs. Beady, an unnamed teacher in Stuart Little 2, Arenea and Buttons in Charlotte's Web 2: Wilbur's Great Adventure, secondary characters in shows, such as Ugly Americans, Adventure Time, Hey Arnold! as Mayor Dixie, Stinky's grandmother, and Iggy's mother, and many more. Her on-screen work includes The Martin Short Show in 1999, Louie on FX as herself, Arrested Development on Fox and Netflix, The Maria Bamford Show, The Sarah Silverman Program, Night Court (2023), and Lady Dynamite. Since 2021, Bamford starred as Trophy Fantasy in Adult Swim's animated sitcom Teenage Euthanasia, and released an autobiographical memoir called Yes, I'll Join Your Cult two years later, in 2023.
