SpongeBob and Patrick find Narlene and Nobby's swimming hole.

On a very hot day, SpongeBob, Patrick, and the other campers are led by Larry on a grueling hike. SpongeBob and Patrick are left behind and hear a noise, with SpongeBob tracking it from a tree. Patrick leans against some coral and opens a door in the tree. They enter, fall down the stairs, and find Narlene and Nobby relaxing in an underground swimming hole. Narlene invites SpongeBob and Patrick in on the condition it is just them two. They have fun swimming and promise to keep it a secret.

Returning to camp, SpongeBob and Patrick see Sandy collapsed in her tube from the heat. They invite her to the swimming hole, where Narlene lets her in, but nobody else. They go back to the canteen, and when Patrick literally spills Harvey's beans, SpongeBob tells him, making Patrick deny sharing the secret while giving it away. The entire rest of the camp shows up in the swimming hole, and they kick Narlene and Nobby out, not knowing it was originally hers. Narlene gets revenge by using the entrance lever to barricade the door. She takes herself and Nobby to swim in Lake Yuckymuck, while taking advantage of the rest of the camp.

The campers trapped in the swimming hole.

In the swimming hole, Harvey tries to exit to get his water wings, but notices they are trapped inside and informs everyone. The campers begin to panic when Narlene is not coming back. Sandy points out an open hole at the top of the cave. They try to stack up to reach it, and have Bubble Bass trampoline off, but these both fail. Meanwhile, Narlene and Nobby are playing around camp. When Patrick asks if there is an elevator, SpongeBob goes to the bottom of the pool and absorbs all the water, lifting everyone up and letting them escape.

The campers catch up to Narlene and Nobby, where Bubble Bass calls them out, and Larry leads everyone to attack them. They gang up against Narlene and Nobby, who tire them out and are able to explain themselves. Narlene says that if SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy had not broken their promise, she would not have been trapped anybody inside. Narlene and Nobby relax in the lake as the mob chases SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy.

Trivia

General

  • This episode premiered as part of the 2025 event "Friday Night Hits."
  • In Germany, this episode was originally going to premiere on February 8, 2024 at 5:00 PM, before being replaced by a rerun of "House Worming."[10]
  • This is the last episode of Kamp Koral to have Jeffrey Hutchins as the sound designer, who would be replaced by Ian Nyeste starting with the next episode.

Cultural references

  • Narlene paints a door on a rock to trick the mob chasing her, appearing as if she had escaped, and Larry runs right into the rock. This references the 1949 Looney Tunes cartoon Fast and Furry-ous, where Wile E. Coyote paints a tunnel over a rock to trick the Road Runner, but his plan backfires on him, as the Road Runner breaks the laws of logic and passes through the rock, while the Coyote crashes into it.
