The Kruncher
The Kruncher is a character who appears in the episodes "Demolition Doofus" and "My Father the Boat, as well as the book Demolition Derby. He is one of seven characters who compete in the Demolition Derby.
Description
The Kruncher is a very wide and large, purple fish, almost similar to a shark. He is not that tall compared to other characters, yet he is still very big. He has pink, spiky fins on his head and across his back. He wears a white T-shirt and a black bandana. He drives a blue boat that resembles a shark as indicated by its paint job and rear fin, with the number "7" on its sides.
Role in series
"Demolition Doofus"
The Kruncher is first seen after Captain Lutefisk announces his name. He makes a joke directed toward SpongeBob saying how he should be "afraid" of him. The Kruncher attempts to crash into SpongeBob, but he ends up crashing into a wall. The Kruncher makes another attempt, but SpongeBob collides into him, causing The Kruncher to crash into The Cackling Cruiser, losing the Derby.
"My Father the Boat"
At the Demolition Derby, Pearl shoots water from her blowhole to defeat him, causing an explosion.
Trivia
- Incidental 41 is apparently a fan of The Kruncher, as shown when he holds a sign saying "I ♥ The Kruncher."
- When the Kruncher drives away from SpongeBob, after the latter drives over him, the former's back fin is missing in that shot. There is another shot that also shows his missing back fin.
