Multiverse theory
In DC comics, there were two universes paralell to each other called Earth-One and Eath-Two. Earth-Two first appeared in Action Comics 1. Starting in Flash 123, certain things were not like the previous DC comics. Superman's Kryptonian name was Kal-El and not Kal-L. The "new" Superman knew about his Kryptonian heritage since he was an infant when the "old" Superman was quite ignorant of said matter. DC said the the two were universes paralell to each other. They were both destroyed in the Crisis on Infinte Earths and folded into a new world along with three other universes, but that's another matter.
In Something Smells, Patrick said he did not have a sister and in Rule of Dumb, Patrick was shown to be the only child of his parents. Big Sister Sam showed Samantha "Sam" Star, who was said to be Patrick's sister.
In the very first episode, Help Wanted, SpongeBob went out the door and went right to the Krusty Krab. The same case happened in Plankton!, SB-129, Suds, Hooky and Your Shoe's Untied. In almost every other episode, SpongeBob goes left.
In Squid on Strike, Pre-Hibernation Week and Mrs. Puff, You're Fired, SpongeBob's bones were seen. In other epsidoes, like Squirrel Jokes, SpongeBob has no spine, or any other bones for that matter.
In Hooky, Mr. Krabs said that he was around 17 when he started managing the Krusty Krab but Grandpappy the Pirate said that Mr. Krabs' career started much later.
In Home Sweet Pineapple, SpongeBob's pineaple is eaten like an actual pinepapple is eaten. A lone seed is left and SpongeBob buries it, thinking it a mere pebble. A tear drops right above it, entombing the seed. The seed afterwards grows an exact replica of SpongeBob's old house. A flashback in Truth or Square shows a pineapple falling off a boat into the exact spot where SpongeBob would move into. However, SpongeBob and Patrick take apart SpongeBob's house in Opposite Day, exposing wood and other parts showing that it is a fake.
With all that info, it may be safe to say that SpongeBob is a multiverse. I have seperated the said episodes into two universes. The "First" Universe has every side of the paradox that came first. In this reality, SpongeBob goes to the right, has bones and has a real pineapple, Patrick's sister doesn't exist and Mr. Krabs was 17 when he started his career. In the "Second" Universe, SpongeBob is an invertabrate who goes left to the KK out of a fake pineapple, Sam Star exists and Mr. Krabs was an adult when he started his career.
I have also written two multiversial fan fictions called "Crisis on Several Earths" (based on DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths) and "New World" which retconns SpongeBob completely.
