Characters

Synopsis

The episode opens with Cecil at a funeral home, giving a eulogy to a dummy he lost to termites. In his place, he uses Bananas Foster, a monkey puppet that tells jokes. He brings the dummy home after work, and it disturbs the family. Cecil explains that he cannot get Bananas off his hand, and prepares to chop his own hand off, until Bananas tells jokes that wins the others over. They decide to keep him around, and the next day, Cecil comes home from work and learns that Bananas made a lot of money, with Cecil getting demoted to his assistant.

That night, Bananas takes advantage of Cecil by using his shaving cream and sleeping in his bed. The next morning, the rest of the family have their own puppets, as Bananas tells Cecil that he brought his family over. The Fosters eat breakfast and head to play tennis, eventually taking over everything the Stars usually do.

During dinner, Cecil finally decides to free the family from the puppets and summons them under the table. There, he runs into the Dartfish Family. Daddy Dartfish offers to go inside the puppet and see what the problem is. He climbs up Cecil and into Bananas, who he starts tickling from the inside, making him laugh and move uncontrollably. He and Cecil land outside, where Daddy Dartfish tells the family how to get rid of the puppets: just unclench their hands. They do, making the puppets collapse on the ground. Squidina suggests they give Bananas' family a new home, and Cecil has an idea: with Granny Tentacles, who had insulted the family twice earlier in the episode.
