The exterior is a small cave. Although, the exterior of the cave does not appear in the book adaptations.
Interior
"Atlantis SquarePantis"
The interior in the TV special and book adaptations is small, compared to the exterior. It has a rock inside that has the Atlantean amulet resting on top that SpongeBob and Template:Data:Links find.
SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis
The interior is much bigger in the video game than in the episode and book adaptations. It has collapsing edges, gates, ghostly pirates, bridges, wooden and metal floors.
Role in series

In the TV special and book adaptations, it is the location where SpongeBob and Patrick find the missing half of the Atlantean amulet.
SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis
