Synopsis
Patrick is seen doing his show, with the special theme of the day being boats. He soon goes over to GrandPat's boat collection, using GrandPat himself to pick the lock open. Once inside, GrandPat takes over to talk about his collection. Patrick takes a wheel-shaped boat and crashes, stating that he does not know how to drive. This alarms Cecil, who decides to teach Patrick himself.
Cecil goes through his pre-driving checklist to give Patrick tips while he drives through the house. Once they land, they go on the road as Cecil continues to lecture Patrick. They stop for a pregnant lady who urgently needs to give birth to her baby. Patrick drives quickly due to Cecil's advice to ignore traditional road rules when it is an emergency. Patrick and Cecil drop the lady off at a racing stadium, where she successfully gives birth.
Patrick and Cecil soon exit the racing stadium and get back on the main road. They stop in front of a bridge, although Cecil was actually looking out for a half-eaten cupcake. Patrick and Cecil drive off the bridge, but manage to land gently. They spot Lady Upturn, but are challenged to a race by a taxi driver at the same time. Patrick and Cecil enter the race and set off several traps for the taxi driver as they drive past Lady Upturn. The taxi driver speeds ahead of Patrick and Cecil, but they unleash several ducks to stop him.
Patrick and Cecil spot a hitchhiker afterwards and pick him up. The hitchhiker reveals himself to be Rube who asks them to continue driving. Rube messes with the air conditioner and music system, as well as getting in Cecil's way, resulting in Cecil wanting him to be dropped off. Rube disappears shortly before Patrick crashes into a wall. Patrick and Cecil exit the Tidal Zone as officer Al Gristlepuss catches them speeding and chases them down. Cecil tells Al that Patrick is a new learner, and Al brings his own kid out. Al asks Cecil for his license, but he does not have one. Al asks him and Patrick to pull over, but Cecil insists that they cannot be arrested if they get their licenses first.
Patrick and Cecil drive to the Department of Motor Boats with Al and his son still chasing them. Patrick reaches the register of the DMB to find Cecil, who at first refuses to give Patrick his license, but reveals that it was just a trick and ends up actually giving him one. However, Al and his son catch Patrick and take his license away, as well as Cecil's car. Patrick and Cecil comment that at least their driving made for an entertaining episode, only to realize that they left Squidina behind, therefore their driving has not been recorded. Squidina sets off to record the episode, only to also realize that Patrick and Cecil left without her.

Trivia
General
- The title and plot of this episode are very similar to "Driven to Tears" from the fourth season of SpongeBob SquarePants.
- When Template:Data:Links says "After almost 11 minutes of hard work and practice," he is breaking the fourth wall by referencing the length of the episode.
- This is the first episode of The Patrick Star Show to use the 2024 Nickelodeon Productions logo at the end of the credits to represent the splat rebrand, along with its sister episode.
Episode references
- Patrick and Cecil briefly go through The Tidal Zone when picking up Rube.
- Rube vanishing is similar to the ending of "No Pictures Please."
