The Tidal Zone is an event that occurs in the SpongeBob SquarePants episodes "No Pictures Please," "The Night Patty," "Welcome to Binary Bottom," "You're Going to Pay...Phone," "A Skin Wrinkle in Time," and "Bizarro Bottom," as well as the Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years episode "The Switch Glitch" and The Patrick Star Show episodes "Shrinking Stars" and "Driven to Drive."

Description

When a region crosses into the Tidal Zone, strange and unexplained things occur.

"No Pictures Please"

The French Narrator states that the episode takes place on the day Bikini Bottom crossed into the Tidal Zone, which caused an illusion, Rube Goldfish, to materialize.

At the end of the episode, when everyone confronts Patrick and Rube, the latter reveals that he and his camera are illusions before disappearing, shocking everyone. The French Narrator then explains that "things always get weird" in the Tidal Zone.

"The Night Patty"

At the end of this episode, the French Narrator reveals that all of the characters SpongeBob met during the Krusty Krab night shift, including Patrick himself, are illusions created by the Tidal Zone.

"Welcome to Binary Bottom"

Instead of Bikini Bottom entering the Tidal Zone, its alternate version, Binary Bottom, does, with it being the focus of the entire episode.

"You're Going to Pay...Phone"

The Bikini Bottom enters the Tidal Zone once again, with Mr. Krabs experiencing its effects by having a demon mess with his head via a hypnotizing payphone.

"A Skin Wrinkle in Time"

GrandPat Star goes through various time periods via the time closet in hopes of finding his way out of the Tidal Zone and back to his home universe.

"Bizarro Bottom"

After a long shift, SpongeBob falls asleep on the bus and he finds himself in a weird town full of doppelgangers.

Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years

"The Switch Glitch"

Kamp Koral enters the Tidal Zone, with Patrick and Karen experiencing its effects by swapping bodies from Patrick eating many lightning berries.

The Patrick Star Show

"Shrinking Stars"

The Star house enters the Tidal Zone, with the Star family getting shrunk down trying to escape from an enraged GrandPat.

"Driven to Drive"

• It is a parody of the Twilight Zone, a similar phenomenon featured in the series of the same name and also a property of Paramount Global.
• Creator Stephen Hillenburg made a comic book with a similar name called The Intertidal Zone before he made the SpongeBob series.
