Markus Bäckman

Markus Bäckman (born 1966) is a Finnish actor who voices Sheldon J. Plankton, Flying Dutchman, Realistic Fish Head, the mayor, Painty the Pirate, and many other characters in the series.

He is one of the few Finnish cast members to span both the original and new voice cast.

Biography

As a musician, Bäckman has released a record with the band Miesprojekti, as well as solo albums. He was also one of the soloists on the album Moomin Family Song Tour. Bäckman has written the lyrics for multiple songs. In 2005, Katharos oy published Bäckman's collection of lyrics Kyyhkysen's son and thirsty heart. He is known for the role of Lord Garmadon in the LEGO Ninjago series. In addition, Bäckman's comics and drawings have been published in several journals.
