Pelican Island
Location
Pelican Island is an island that first appears in the book The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water - The Junior Novelization and later in the film The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.
Description
It is a bleak and rocky island that is swarmed by a pod[1] of pelicans.
Role in movie
SpongeBob and the gang are sent to this island once by Burger Beard. There they are attacked by pelicans until SpongeBob took one of their feathers so he could write a happy ending on a book page. However, the page SpongeBob had written on was left behind, so Plankton took the same pelican feather SpongeBob had used, and also wrote on the page.
Trivia
- Squidward inked himself when he was on this island, marking the second time he does this after "Giant Squidward."
