Air Plankton
Air Plankton is a medium-sized plane that appears in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.
Description
It is a dark green airplane that has two propellers on each wing, along with Plankton's antennae on the top, a giant eye that resembles Plankton's eye on the nose, and a small cabin which carries the pilot which is Plankton in this case. It is capable of carrying Plankton's tank robot and dropping a jar of tartar sauce.
Role in movies
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water
It is the first invention that Plankton uses to try to get the formula at the beginning of the movie. It dropped a jar of tartar sauce on SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs and was later destroyed when SpongeBob and Patrick fire potatoes at it, causing it to crash to the ground. However, Plankton ejected with his tank robot and continued on without the plane.
Plankton: The Movie
Air Plankton appears in the background in the Chum Bucket's basement, as Plankton discusses with SpongeBob how they can stop Karen's rampage in Bikini Bottom.
Trivia
- There is a Mega Bloks SpongeBob SquarePants set depicting this vehicle, called the Tartar Bomber.
- It vaguely resembles the American Boeing B-17 or the German Heinkel He 277.
- Its name is a portmanteau of the word "airplane" and Plankton's name.
