Ultimate gag
The ultimate gag is a prank-filled surprise box created by Jeff Tentacles and Squidward Tentacles that appears in the episode "Jeffy T's Prankwell Emporium."
Description
It is a dark purple box with yellow question marks on each side. It has a flip-up lid with a small hook that, when opened, plays out a variety of pranks on the person using it.

Role in episode
Jeffy shows SpongeBob and Patrick the blueprint of the ultimate gag, which he has never been able to finish. Later, Squidward takes Jeffy's bag while he sleeps and spends the whole night working on finishing the prank gadget. The next day, Squidward hands it over to Jeffy, and as soon as he opens the box, a series of pranks are unleashed on him. Squidward also gives identical boxes to SpongeBob and Patrick, from which boxing gloves emerge and punch them. Jeffy is proud of Squidward for completing the ultimate gag and takes leave of him to go share his new invention with the world.
