Character

Karen is Karen Plankton's alternate universe counterpart in the episode "Welcome to Binary Bottom." She is an organic, living fish, instead of a computer, implying that the roles of organic sea creatures and machines are reversed in Binary Bottom. Her husband is PlankBot.

She is a pale purple fish with puffy black squared hair, green squared glasses, a lab coat, black heels, pink lips, and lavender fins.

Role in episode

When SquidBot and RoboGary break into the Grease Bucket, PlankBot and Karen come out of the kitchen room, wanting to know what's going on. PlankBot tries to get SquidBot then he gets disabled, and Karen tells PlankBot he forgot to wind himself again. PlankBot thanks Karen and calls her his "flesh and blood wife" while going to get SquidBot. SpongeBot breaks a hole in the Grease Bucket, asking if RoboGary came to the Grease Bucket, and Karen states that he went outside to Lube Lagoon. Then, SpongeBot malfunctions, causing him to get thrown out. Then, Karen states that her mama told her not to marry a robot. She shows up again when PlankBot gets squashed by many robot incidentals, then Karen appears on a futuristic scooter, and she picks PlankBot up saying "Hey, there you are."

Trivia

  • She looks very similar to her original counterpart, but she is an organic fish instead, resulting in PlankBot calling her "flesh and blood wife."
  • Her squared hair and green glasses are a reference to her robot's square head and heart monitor-like line on her screen respectively.
