The mechanic is a character who appears in the episode "My Father the Boat."

Description

He is a light green fish with a lime green dorsal fin, purple lips, a cataract in his left eye, along with a brown mustache and goatee. He wears black shoes, white shirt, yellow overalls, and a yellow cap.

Role in episode

When Pearl wrecks her boatmobile at the Demolition Derby, the mechanic approaches her and says he'll fix it for her. At Boat Parts & Garage, he lifts the boat with a jack and drills out a screw, making SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs fall out from inside. After identifying the problem, he explains that the two were inside instead of an engine. This makes Pearl upset and purchases two new very expensive boats from the mechanic using Mr. Krabs' credit card.
