Patrick's brain
Patrick's brain is an internal organ located inside Patrick's head. It first appears in the episode "Patrick SmartPants." Patrick's brain is the primary cause of his stupidity, as it fails to function well.
Role in series
"Shanghaied"
In "You Wish" and "Shanghaied: Patrick's ending," Patrick's brain is shown as a toaster.
"Patrick SmartPants"
When Patrick's head tip, along with brain falls off in the episode, it accidentally gets replaced by brain coral, which causes him to become extremely smart. Later, the brain coral comes off again and he gets his regular brain back.
"Sing a Song of Patrick"
Patrick's brain releases foul steam from overthinking.
"Chum Bucket Supreme"
Patrick struggles to understand what the words used in Plankton's new sign for the Chum Bucket mean. His brain is also revealed to have a location called Department of Thoughts.
"Gary's New Toy"
A laser beam from the Pet Point 3000 shoots through Patrick's head and causes his brain to fall out, requiring SpongeBob to reinsert it.
"Whirly Brains"
Patrick, along with SpongeBob, uses his brain to play with the new Whirly Brain toy.
"Old Man Patrick"
When Patrick eats too much ice cream at Shady Shoals Rest Home, he gets a brain freeze, and then his head opens and shows his brain having snow on it. Patrick falls down and then someone comes to bring him back by electrocuting him and his brain but accidentally burns Patrick's brain. Patrick gets up after smelling his brain, puts ketchup on it, and eats his brain.
"Mustard O' Mine"
Before entering the Mustard Mine, Patrick picks his brain out through his nose and spreads it on Squidward's back.
"Library Cards"
It is seen sitting on a couch inside Patrick's head. Whenever letters come inside Patrick's head, Patrick's brain builds something out of the word. When Patrick becomes dumb again, all of Patrick's brain's creations come out of his head and his brain ends up back to sitting on a couch.
"The Nitwitting"
Patrick takes off his brain to show SpongeBob how to be a member of society
