It is the fourth and final installment in the SpongeBob QuestPants series.

Gameplay

The player plays as SpongeBob, who has swapped bodies with Patrick due to Sandy's Teleport-inator malfunctioning, whose goal is to collect the parts needed to fix the teleporter and swap back bodies with Patrick again. The player can move with the arrow keys, and click the action button in order to interact with various objects, characters, and enemies. The player has three lives that can be increased by finding hearts in chests.

Throughout the game, there are items the player can collect. Some of these progress the story, but other are optional. There are treasure chests scattered throughout the game that have various items inside, either optional treasures relating to the series' past or hearts that increase the maximum number of hearts. The player can also find giant clams that have pearls inside, which can be used to by upgrades and clothing at Clamu's shop.

Profiles

Character names and text are listed as they appear in the game. A few names were unofficial before the game made them official, having been taken from four other characters for Incidental 18, from two other characters for Troutenheimer, and from an implied character whom Tuck Tucker (Inc 37A) addresses in "SpongeBob's Last Stand" for Incidental 48, and are used here for accuracy. A character's profile is unlocked after SpongeBob interacts with them for the first time.

Trivia

• In total, the player can have up to five lives. There are 12 treasures to find and 28 characters to interact with.
  • Each treasure and character has a short bio that gives the player information about them.
• There are not enough pearls to purchase everything in Clamu's shop; the player will be three pearls short.
• This is the only online game where the Shellphone appears.
• In this game, SpongeBob's house is between Patrick Star's house and Squidward Tentacles' house.
• The game's title screen is based on the episode "Big Pink Loser," in which SpongeBob and Patrick wear each other's clothes and impersonate each other.
• One of the characters whom Incidental 18's name Horace was taken from is another student at Mrs. Puff's Boating School, shown in the 2006 book Class Confusion.
• Horace's quote was actually said by Mr. Krabs.
• Incidental 83 being an Old Man Jenkins was also the case in 2013, when the music video for the SpongeBob Schwammkopf BOBstar - das total abgedrehte Album song "Kommt doch rein" (a cover of the Culcha Candela song "Von allein") called him Alter Jenkins.
• Troutenheimer being Fred is based on the former (Incidental 1D) being an alternate model of the latter (Incidental 1/Incidental 1A).
