Object

The Sponge-Tracker is an invention made by Sandy to track SpongeBob, after he goes missing in the episode "What Ever Happened to SpongeBob?" It is later destroyed by Squidward.

Description

It is a light olive-green, rectangular device with a tan square button, a red dial, and a light gray antenna. It is used to track sea sponges within a mile radius and uses live action footage of them on the device.

Role in episode

Sandy invents this tracker after SpongeBob runs away and she, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Patrick try to find him. Squidward, not wanting SpongeBob to come back, purposely destroys the device with a hammer. He then claims that he dropped it, but nobody buys his blatant lie.

Trivia

This is Sandy's second invention destroyed in the episode, with the first being her robot, which was accidentally destroyed by SpongeBob.
