Sir Cecil the Sea Sleep King is the vision of a magical octopus who originates in the book The Land of Perpetual Excitement. He appears in the episode "InSPONGEiac."

He is a light olive green magical octopus with a light gray beard, a thin mustache, and a lime green caudal fin.

He is mentioned in the bedtime story Patrick is telling SpongeBob to help him sleep. Sir Cecil appears during the bedtime story and sprinkles SpongeBob with "sleepy dust."
