Object

The welcome home cake is a cake served to Sandy and made by SpongeBob and Patrick in the episode "A Flea in Her Dome."

Description

It has two forms: The first one made is a circular one made by SpongeBob that has light blue frosting and squiggly white frosting for the corners. White frosting is also used for the text that reads "Welcome home Sandy!" Aside from that, there are two hearts on the cake, one on the lower left corner and another on the upper right corner.

The second one is shaped like Texas, which Patrick manages to make after putting the cake in his mouth. The differences with this cake are that although it has the same coloring and text on the cake, the writing is in cursive and does not include the exclamation point at the end. Also, depictions of SpongeBob and Patrick are added below this version of the cake, while the two hearts are above the text this time.

Role in episode

SpongeBob makes this cake in honor of Sandy coming home from Texas. He originally has it in a circular form, but Patrick makes it shaped like Texas by putting it in his mouth.

As Sandy gets home, she, SpongeBob, and Patrick prepare to eat the cake, although they are prevented by Sandy's constant itching in response to her fleas, which gets shreds of her hair on the cake, ruining the trio's appetites.
