"Don't Be a Jerk," also titled "Don't Be A Jerk (It's Christmas)," is a song that was released as a bonus on the SpongeBob's Greatest Hits CD and is used in the episode "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!" It was included in the 2008 "Built By Me" LEGO competition part of Nicktoons Network Animation Festival, both before debuting in the show officially. This song is also featured on the It's a SpongeBob Christmas! album. It is the antidote to the jerktonium.

Role in episode

When SpongeBob finds out that singing this song cured Sandy, he realizes he can sing this song to the rest of Bikini Bottom to make them normal again, so he sings this song to everyone, and they all become normal. As a result, they begin singing as well curing the entire town.

• The lyrics of this song are featured in the It's a SpongeBob Christmas! book.
• In the Latin American dub, the word "jerk" is replaced by "patan." (Lout)
• The LEGO rendition of the song was included in the 2011 Lego Club DVD.
• The melody sounds similar to the 1974 Christmas song "Wombling Merry Christmas" by the Wombles.
