"Tag, You're It" is a song sung by SpongeBob in the episode of the same name. It plays when SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy start looking for a place to play tag. It is accompanied by a montage of them going to different cabins and Mrs. Puff's lighthouse only for something to go wrong and get them kicked out.
The song is heavily inspired by "Cretin Hop" by The Ramones, having a similar instrumental and some of the lyrics being an intentional parody.[1]
A remix of this song was included on Nickelodeon Mix it Up! Vol. 16: Bumpin' Beats in 2024.
