The story begins with Fishmael searching from town to town for a place to work. After encountering a pile of jellyfish jelly and slipping on it, he ends up at [[The Jelly Squirt Inn]] where he meets [[Capn' A. Krabs]] and [[Planky]] at the counter. When Planky offers him some jelly, Fishmael declines since he is only there to find a job. Although he is declined of a job at the counter, a sailor starfish named [[Pat-Buck Star|Pat-Buck]] drags him beneath a table and explains that there are jobs at ''[[Ye Olde Pineapple]]''. When Fishmael declines, Pat-Buck kidnaps him and brings him onto the ship. Pat-Buck proceeds to show him the ropes by tying him to a pole, and [[Captain SpongeHab]] appears. SpongeHab blows the shape of Dopey Dick out of bubblegum to notify the sailors about Dopey Dick, but Fishmael is splattered by the bubble after it strikes a nail and pops. Fishmael gets a special job on the ship, which is being used as a harpoon to reel in Dopey Dick. While the boat is chasing after Dopey Dick, Fishmael uses his poor music skills to calm down and capture Dopey Dick. This plan ends up working, although SpongeHab proceeds to release the jellyfish afterwards. Then, when Dopey Dick is reeled in by another vessel piloted by Capn' A. Krabs and Planky, Fishmael and the remainder of SpongeHab's crew sneak onto the ship at night. They find Dopey Dick in a weakened state, with his jelly being sucked out and placed into canisters. They successfully manage to release Dopey Dick from the ship, but Krabs and his crew awaken and notice the situation. Fishmael, SpongeHab, and Pat-Buck are all saved by Dopey Dick after ramming into Krabs' ship, but they are then sucked into a whirlpool. The scene cuts to Fishmael back at the Jelly Squirt Inn, explaining that he was the lone survivor of "Dopey Dick." However, the patrons at the inn laugh since they were all there with him. Fishmael pretty much added the part of the "whirlpool" to makes the story more serious and dramatic than it really is and Dopey Dick probably not even really did rammed Capn' A. Fishmael Tentacles[1] is the 1830s counterpart of Squidward Tentacles who appears in the episode "Dopey Dick."
