A Donut is a type of food in Bikini Bottom, known to be sold by Flipper's Donuts and Donuts. It first appears in "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy" and plays its biggest role yet in "The Donut of Shame."
Description
The donut in "The Donut of Shame" looks like a regular donut with chocolate and pink sprinkles. In the episode "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy," there are three donuts: a strawberry-flavored donut, a glazed donut, and a chocolate-flavored donut.
History
"The Donut of Shame"
In "The Donut of Shame," Patrick is trying to find a way to hide the donut he takes from SpongeBob and is also struggling not to eat it. Soon after, he hears the phone ringing revealing it to be SpongeBob. He then goes to his house to play the tape from a party from the day before. SpongeBob appears suddenly, and in a quick attempt, Patrick hides the donut from him. Then, SpongeBob plays the tape only for Patrick to learn that the donut was his all along since it was his birthday. Patrick decides to then split the donut in half and shares it with SpongeBob.
"Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy"
In the episode "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy," SpongeBob and Patrick pretend that a donut was a ring which Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy use while annoying Squidward in the process.
