Fishmael Tentacles is the 1830s counterpart of Squidward Tentacles who appears in the episode "Dopey Dick."

Much like his modern-day counterpart, he is an octopus with two arms, four legs, a nose, and yellow and red eyes. For clothing, he wears a red hat with yellow hair as well as a blue jersey.

Role in episode

Template:Data:Links reads the story named "Dopey Dick" and Fishmael is the narrator. He was looking for work from town to town. He comes across and subsequently slips on jellyfish jelly, leading him into The Jelly Squirt Inn, landing right at the bar's counter, meeting an old-timey Capn' A. Krabs and a parakeet version of Template:Data:Links named Planky. Planky offers him jellyfish juice but he refused because of his job hunting. Planky tells him to buy jelly or get out and he brought it. He finds Pat-Buck and tells him that there are jobs at the Ye Olde Pineapple. He then leaves on the boat with Captain SpongeHab's crew. Pat-Buck reminds Fishmael that the captain has a special job. He was then tied to a pole and Pat-Buck was playing music. SpongeHab then appears. He blows the shape of Dopey out of bubblegum to tell the sailors about Dopey Dick that they are hunting, and then the bubblegum Dopey pops after hitting a nail which causes bubblegum to shoot all over Fishmael. He was then given a job to catch Dopey Dick as he tries to catch Dopey Dick. The boat then chases Dopey Dick. Fishmael plays music as it catches Dopey Dick. SpongeHab then releases Dopey Dick but he is captured by Capn' A. Krabs and Planky as they refuse to release it. Planky then uses a cannonball to shoot nematodes to eat the Ye Olde Pineapple. When Capn' A. Krabs' crew is sleeping, Captain SpongeHab's crew sneaks onto their ship. They find Dopey Dick's jelly being put into jelly jars. They then release Dopey Dick, but Krabs and his crew notice SpongeHab and his crew release Dopey Dick. Dopey Dick saves SpongeHab, Pat-Buck, and Fishmael from Krabs' crew but then Dopey Dick destroys their ship after attempting to capture him again. In the end, they are all at the Jelly Squirt Inn where Dopey Dick is seen as Fishmael ends the story.
