Synopsis
"SpongeBob SquarePants is out bubble blowing one morning. When suddenly he trips over some kelp, he bumps his head, and is knocked out! When SpongeBob awakens, he cannot remember his name or where he lived! While SpongeBob searches for his lost identity, Patrick and Sandy set out to find their best friend, SpongeBob SquarePants. Imagine their shock when they discover he has been elected mayor of New Kelp City!"

- It took nearly two years for the episode based on this book to premiere.
- Steven Banks is also credited as the writer for the episode, but the credits do not mention that it was a book adaptation.
- SpongeBob's alter-ego "CheeseHead BrownPants" is named "SpongeJoe BrownPants" in this book.
