Synopsis

The commercial for the new Patty Kake item.

Patrick is watching TV when he sees an advertisement for the Krusty Krab's new Patty Kake, a layered dessert patty where the first customer in line will be featured in a promotional poster. The restaurant opens in 10 minutes, and Patrick thinks it will take him 5 minutes to get there, so he takes a 5-minute nap: which ends up taking 6 hours. He rushes to the Krusty Krab, only to find SpongeBob exiting, saying that they ran out of Patty Kakes four hours ago, and he was the first one to try them.

SpongeBob's comments make Patrick realize he can use the time closet to travel back in time to this morning and be the first in line. He arrives at sunset, seeing SpongeBob running down the street. He stops SpongeBob and shoves him under a sidewalk tile. SpongeBob thinks they're playing and chases him down, and when Patrick gets free, he finds that Bubble Bass got the first Patty Kake.

Patrick goes back in time again and stops Bubble Bass by locking him in a cage. Bubble Bass declares that as a prisoner, he still has rights, and holds up Patrick by demanding various expensive things. By the time he's done, he sees that Mrs. Puff has got the first Patty Kake.

He goes back in time again and sees Mrs. Puff driving up, so he revs a boat himself, crashes it, and flies through her windshield, flaying the skin off her face. Mrs. Puff screams and crashes into a building, exploding his car. Patrick returns to the Krusty Krab to see that Larry got there before him, so he goes back in time to stop him. In the meantime, Squidina is able to get the Patty Kake. Traveling back in time, someone always manages to get there before him, so he ends up trapping everyone. The last person he runs into is Gary, whom he distracts with a laser pointer tied to a clam.

Then, another Patrick shows up from the time closet and sees the amount of Patricks from previous timelines. To see who is most deserving, he holds a "Top Patrick" contest, with the judges being the caged entirety of Bikini Bottom. However, since all the Patricks are also busy, nobody comes to get the Patty Kake. Mr. Krabs tastes it himself, disgusted by it, then throws it away, questioning what he was thinking as the promotional poster ends up showing the Patty Kake on top of the garbage.
