Template:OTab Template:Object The Chum Bucket bucket helmet is a hat worn by either employees or customers of the Chum Bucket, depending on which story it is being used in.

It first appears in the episode "Welcome to the Chum Bucket," then in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and its video game adaptation, where it is used as a mind-control device.

Description

"Welcome to the Chum Bucket"

This version is a light gray bucket with the Chum Bucket's initials written in red text in the center above the visor.

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie

This version is a dark gray bucket with the Chum Bucket's initials written in red text in the center. This device is used to change the mindset of the fish wearing it, which the helmet covers the face of when controlled.

Plankton uses the Chum Bucket helmets for his restaurant for anyone who got Krabby Patties. But when Template:Data:Links tries to report King Neptune about Plankton who stole the crown and the formula, Plankton uses the bucket helmet to take over the minds of the Bikini Bottomites. Due to this, they are forced to do anything Plankton tells them to do. The captured slaves then seize Squidward, turning him into a slave. Plankton then uses them as slaves to make Bikini Bottom into Planktopolis, but at the end of the movie, SpongeBob destroys the bucket helmets with intense level of rock and roll, frees the minds of the Bikini Bottomites, and turns Planktopolis back into Bikini Bottom. Meanwhile, Plankton was arrested for brainwashing all the people of Bikini Bottom.

Customers wear Chum Bucket bucket helmets around their necks to consume the eponymous food inside them.

Most enemies in the game and the background characters in Planktopolis wear mind-control bucket helmets.

Trivia

  • They are mentioned on the 52nd and 53rd pages of the book Are We There Yet?
  • According to Plankton, the helmets cannot handle extreme levels of rock and roll, which explains how SpongeBob manages to destroy them in the first movie.
