"Dear Friend" is an opera aria written by Aaron Springer, sung by SpongeBob to persuade Patrick to become his friend again. It is sung in the episode "Squidward's School for Grown-Ups."

Trivia
- This is one of the few opera songs sung in the series.
- This is the fourth song in which SpongeBob's singing voice is completely different than his regular voice. The first was "Ripped Pants," the second was "Band Geeks", and the third time was "Choir Boys" (unknown voice).
- SpongeBob's singing voice was provided by Teresa Parente. In the previous three, it was respectively done by Peter Strauss, David Glen Risley, and an unknown person.
- SpongeBob's outfit is olden time unlike his modern-day clothing. It is different than what is normally seen.
