Synopsis
The comic explains how a hydro-thermal vent 8000 feet under the Pacific Ocean sea works. It is created when ocean water seeps towards the magma in the Earth's crust, and gets heated to 750 degrees Fahrenheit. It releases hot seawater from its vents and is able to support life, such as fish, shrimp, mussels, tubeworms, clams, crabs, and octopi.
