Kick the Can is the third comic of SpongeBob Comics No. 40.

Synopsis

SpongeBob and Patrick are playing a game of "Jump Over the Can." Squidward scolds them and says they are supposed to kick the can, although SpongeBob and Patrick warn against it. Squidward kicks the can, revealing a giant anglerfish with a can as its lure, which leaps out of the sand and eats Squidward. Squidward yells to get out, Patrick says they warned him, and SpongeBob says he will be fine "after nature runs its course."
