"Seaweed" was composed by Steve Belfer. It is most commonly used as a theme for Patrick, but it is also frequently used for SpongeBob and Squidward. It typically plays during silly moments. The track also sometimes plays in endings.

The main instruments being played in all three versions include various steel guitars, bass guitars, and acoustic guitars. During the second half of season 7, this track has been resampled to be 1.46 semitones lower and 8.1% slower.

"Seaweed Seal I," "Seaweed Seal II," and "Seaweed Seal III" are unused recordings with swapped audio channels.
