Character
The SpongeBob and Patrick doppelgängers[1] are anthropomorphic sponge and starfish who resemble SpongeBob and Patrick respectively, hence their names. They would have appeared in "Dunces and Dragons," but were scrapped. They are still featured in the animatic version of the episode.
Description
As seen in his unused model sheet, the SpongeBob doppelgänger is a yellow muscular sponge with black hair, pronounced cheekbones, and brown rags and boots. Unlike SpongeBob, he does not have holes on his body.
Trivia
- Despite being removed from the actual episode, the SpongeBob doppelgänger is still listed in the end credits. He was voiced by Rodger Bumpass.
