Person
Brian Darrell "Luke" Brookshier (born August 31, 1971; age 54) is a SpongeBob SquarePants crew member who worked on the show from season 4 until the episode "SpongeBob You're Fired" in season 9 and on two games. He briefly returned as a character designer on "Food Con Castaways" and "Snail Mail." According to Vincent Waller in a Twitter post, Luke officially returned to the show as an animation and episode writer in season 11.[citation needed]
Biography
Luke Brookshier was born in Corona, California, as Brian Darrell Brookshier. He is mostly known for his work on SpongeBob SquarePants, as well as WayForward Technologies and the second movie.
His non-SpongeBob work includes animated series such as House of Mouse, Kim Possible, Dora the Explorer, King of the Hill, Gravity Falls (freelance), Uncle Grandpa, and Pig Goat Banana Cricket.
Trivia
- Luke was paired up with three other crew members over his tenure, more than any other post-movie writers/storyboard directors: Tom King during season 4 and first half of season 5; Nate Cash during the second half of season 5 through early season 8; and Marc Ceccarelli from early season 8 until he left in season 9. As of season 11, he writes episodes solo.
- In a 2009 interview, the one thing he said SpongeBob fans of the show "should know [over the] past ten years, but they don't" is that Squidward Tentacles is an octopus.[1]
