Mark Hoagland Ackland (born July 1, 1986; age 39) is an American television writer, storyboard artist, animator, and director. He was a guest storyboard director for the episode "Biddy Sitting" from SpongeBob SquarePants and is currently working on The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.

Biography

Mark Ackland was born in Toronto, Canada.

He works as a graphic and digital artist who is employed by Walt Disney Television Studios Production Company and was contacted by Nickelodeon in early 2019 to work on some episodes of certain shows, such as "Biddy Sitting." He has gained notoriety through his efforts as a writer and character designer on various movies and television series.

Ackland's previous credits include serving as character designer on Anne of Green Gables: The Animated Series and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, designer on The Ripping Friends and Clone High, director and writer on Gruesomestein's Monsters, director on Yin Yang Yo!, storyboard artist on Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil and Wander Over Yonder, and writer and storyboard artist on the new Mickey Mouse series (shorts 2013). He was also an additional animator on Cartoon Network's Mad and a concept artist and designer on The Lego Movie.
