She is a young, pink octopus. She wears a red bow and a blue skirt.

Role in episode

Nelly is one of Mrs. Sturgeon's students at Little Flipper Music Academy. She is first shown smiling with the other students after Squidward admits that he got a court order to attend class. When Mrs. Sturgeon has the class try out their instruments, Nelly is seen hitting her drum set with her head, then getting dizzy. She later rolls her drum set on a table to play with SpongeBob, Fergus, and Otto. Squidward's bad clarinet playing creates a tornado that launches the group outside. When Squidward discovers his talent for playing the nose flute, Nelly enjoys his music and shows up at his concert in Jellyfish Fields.
